What are Site Scores and how are they calculated

Avvio's best practice customer model scores all sites against configuration and feature usage. This will allow you to easily benchmark your property's setup and drive feature adoption. 



When you go to the Booking Engine Application you will see the Setup Progress Bar at the top bar section.


When you click on Open site Setup Popup you will see a blank popup with a Scan Site Setup Score button. Click it to start the first test. 

Please note this step, in some cases, maybe skipped as the first test can be set up automatically on account creation. You can then skip to the next step.



After you successfully run the initial test you should see this information:

  1. Test button, if you click it a new test will be processed.

  2. The overall score is divided into subsections like site setup, room setup, rate setup, etc., each section has a separate results block.

  3. Information about how many points you got and the score needed to achieve a 100% success rate.

  4. Information on how many items were processed in that section

  5. Information on how many tests were ignored in that section

  6. Information on how many tests got a warning

  7. Information about how many tests need your attention and didn’t pass.

  8. Score chart for each section

When you expand the section you will see details similar to this view:


In a detailed report, you can see each test in a separate row.

E.g. Room Setup Score Section is detailed into 10 tests.


Each block has information about:

  1. Button to ‘expand’ and ‘collapse’ details section.

  2. The number of a test.

  3. Title and a short description of a test.

  4. How many points your site got for this test

  5. Status of a test. Is it a pass or fail, was it ignored or active.

  6. Action column where you can ‘ignore’, ‘unignore’ ‘fix’ and see ‘show more’

  7. The Red Exclamation mark means that this test is with a warning. 

A warning means that the test did pass but may fall outside best practice recommendations. It is recommended that you consider a fix to a warning.

  1. Some warnings you can ignore, To do so please click the red exclamation mark. Then the icon goes grey. To ignore the warning click the grey exclamation icon.

  2. Some tests which are not related to your site can be ignored by a Super User. In this case, the test will go grey and points won’t be calculated.
    Click the fix button if you want to fix an issue.

  3. Ignored tests are marked with grey color and corresponding icon.

  4. Ignored tests can be unignored by clicking the unignore button.

  5. In the Action column, you can see the ‘show more’ and ‘show less’ buttons. Click show more to see more details about the failed test.

  6. More details about a single test. You can see here what has to be fixed. When you click a link, the web browser will go straight to the page where you can fix that issue.


Site Setup Test Legend:


visible room - the room must be visible on a Consumer Side results page for a normal user for the next 31 days.


visible rate - the rate must be visible on a Consumer Side results page for a normal user for the next 31 days.




Booking Engine tests are divided into sections:

LOS Discounting is live on at least 1 visible rate.

Be aware that some tests have a weight of 0. This means that even if you fail that test the overall results won't be affected but the feature is being flagged as required.
